The D’Amelio Lab is part of the Enzyme and Cell Engineering Unit, UMR 7025 CNRS, with active sites at Université de Picardie Jules Verne, UPJV, in Amiens and Université de Technologie de Compiègne, UTC, in Compiègne, France. Co-directed by Professors Karsten Haupt, Bérangère Avalle, and Catherine Sarazin, the lab is led by Professor Nicola D’Amelio and is internationally recognized for its work in structural biology, biomedicine, and peptide engineering.


The Wenshe Liu Lab

The Wenshe Liu Lab at Texas A&M University applies cutting-edge chemical biology techniques to advance drug discovery. Our work spans a broad spectrum, from cell biology and target identification to traditional medicinal chemistry. The lab operates across two Texas A&M campuses: one within the Department of Chemistry in College Station and the other at the Institute of Biosciences and Technology in Houston.

The Schmeing Lab

The Schmeing Lab

The Schmeing Lab focuses on understanding how large, natural biosynthetic enzymes create their remarkable and valuable products. Two key enzyme systems under investigation are nonribosomal peptide synthetases, NRPSs, which synthesize important compounds such as the antibiotic daptomycin, the anti-cancer drug actinomycin, and the immunosuppressant cyclosporin, and cyanophycin synthetase, which produces a versatile and sustainable green polymer.
